CEO –  Luis Romahn


Luis Romahn is Executive Director of World Urban Parks.

Has worked for the past 12 years on urban parks and public spaces projects in Mexico through models of participatory design, community building and financial sustainability; In addition to organizing the International Congresses of Urban Parks of Mexico and South America.

Member of the Board of Directors of the City Parks Alliance in the United States and member of the Board of the World Academy of Urban Parks.

He is a Fellow for the 2021 Salzburg Seminar in the Emerging Urban Leaders Program and winner of the 2021 World Urban Parks Organization Emerging Leaders Award.

In recent years Luis has given lectures in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, San Salvador and the U.S. on public spaces.

He is the author of the book "Construyendo Mi Parque - De la participación ciudadana a la administración del espacio público".

Luis has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in communication and education, both from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Global Secretariat Coordinator – Vitoria Martin

Vitoria Martin is the current Secretariat Coordinator for World Urban Parks. She is Director of Content and Education of the National Association of Parks and Recreation (ANPR) of Mexico, who are contracted as the World Urban Parks Latin American Secretariat. She's also a Green Flag Award judge.

For more than 4 years, Vitoria has advocated for inclusive parks and public spaces that reflect and respect the ideology of each community for their greater impact on the creation of the social fabric of cities. She has experience in the management, development and coordination of public space education programs and projects.

Vitoria has a bachelor's degree in Tourism Management and holds a Master's degree in Management and Public Finances.
